Training Overview
These are the courses I offer.
Reiki One
Two days, four to five hours per day. We establish a class according to your schedule. Reiki One allows you to do “Friends and Family Reiki,” primarily for the physical body.
Reiki One is presented in small classes with lots of individual attention, so you become a competent and confident practitioner. You will study not only hand positions, but also develop yourself intuitively, learn the ethics of Reiki, healing hints, the properties of Reiki, its history, and receive suggestions for strengthening your work as a practitioner. While certain basics are taught in all Reiki One classes, your individual needs will help create the class content. Your Reiki attunement will be done on the second day of class. You will receive a full folder of handouts when you start class, and a certificate upon completion. Total class fee is $200. Reiki Two
Two days, five hours per day. We establish a class according to your schedule. Reiki Two allows you to send Reiki through space and time in all directions and at all levels. It is very powerful. It is suggested that you wait at least a month after you learn Reiki One to study Reiki Two.
Reiki Two is presented in small classes with lots of individual attention to support you in getting a strong feeling for the symbols presented. You will continue to develop yourself intuitively, learn the all-important ethics of distant healing, unusual and everyday uses of the symbols, symbol use in session work, distant healing, and more. While certain basics are taught in all Reiki Two classes, your individual needs will help create the class content. There is a symbol quiz early in the second day or class, and your Reiki attunement will be done on the second day also. Since the attunement is stronger than Reiki One, you need to plan on having some relaxation time and a lighter schedule for several days after your class. You will receive a full folder of handouts when you start class, and a certificate upon completion. Total class fee is $300.
Energetic Empowerment

Energetic Empowerment 101

You don’t have to come weekly! This is by donation.
If you feel that you are intuitive and would like to learn new energy, visualization and intuitive techniques for well-being and fun, this is a great course. You can drop in any week you want. You don’t even have to call and reserve, although it’s nice if you do. We meet in a beautiful little schoolroom in the West Village in Manhattan (orchids, fish, dreamcatchers, soft lighting). Every week, we’ll have something new to try, and you’ll receive a written handout detailing the technique. A lot of interesting things happen as we work, so you’ll pick up new ideas throughout class.
Take the #1 to Christopher Street, walk 1 block north and 3 blocks west or the A,B,C,D,E,F or V to West 4th St. (exit west 8th), walk 2 blocks north and then west. PATH train is also 1.5 blocks away.
Community Outreach Programs
Urban Reiki
Health research indicates that in certain urban areas of New York City, residents are suffering disproportionately from premature aging and stress-related diseases. The everyday stress of living in these areas causes “weathering,” akin to the effect of wind and rain on houses. Stroke, diabetes, kidney disease, high blood pressure and certain types of cancer are upping the mortality rates in areas such as southwest Yonkers, central and East Harlem, central Brooklyn, and the South Bronx. The Urban Reiki program offers Reiki One classes through churches and community centers in these and similar areas. Please call for details. 718.499.4702, extension 2.
VALR (Veterans Access/Learn Reiki)
Our first class in Reiki One to military Veterans, offered at no fee, will be October 20, 2007 in the Elliot Room of the First Presbyterian Church of Brooklyn in Brooklyn Heights. Reiki is an energy modality clinically demonstrated to help relieve depression and chronic pain, and support physical, mental, and emotional healing.
